3rd (and final) Trimester
I can not even believe that we are here. The 3rd trimester. These weeks have flown by. Since the doctor decided to deliver the twins at week 38, that means we have only 10 more weeks (or less) to go. I’m excited and just a tad bit nervous. I’m sure that the nervousness will pick up the closer we get to April 6th.
I’ve been keeping myself very busy at work and by spending time with my husband on the weekends. After the 1st trimester (which seemed like the longest 13 weeks because we couldn’t share our news with most) things started to really pick up. There are so many thoughts running through my head. My life is about to change for forever. I’m excited for this change, but I have to admit…..becoming a parent is making me a tad bit nervous. I want to be able to give my kids the world and be the best parent I can possibly be. With prayer and the support of my family and friends, I KNOW that I can do this.
This afternoon I had a presentation with the Optimist Club of Carrollton. Probably one of my most fun presentations yet. I think meeting at the pizzeria, American Pie may have had some influence on that. LOL 😉
They have a creed that they go by and I thought that I would share it with you all. It’s something that I feel strongly about and I will definitely begin improving myself to be more and more like their creed.
Promise Yourself …
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
This creed really makes you think. Can you imagine how much better our lives could be if we followed in these words? I’m far from perfect, but I certainly hope to mold myself to be this way.
And what’s a post without a picture? Here is papa Walt meeting our friends 5 day old son. Welcome to the world Markel Gage Alexander! Isn’t he the cutest? 😀
