Bow Ties and Bean Pies
Blogging at after 12am on a week night. Gotta get in where you fit in. 😀
You may notice something else that’s different. Yep. A new blog (again, but who’s counting). I was very unhappy with the layout of my old family blog. It was very BLAH! I was able to move it over to my ProPhoto blog and thus House of Hicks was created. I still have much more tweaking and rearranging to do over the weekend, but I am dog tired and need to go to work in about 4 hours….so this is it….for now.
Bow ties and bean pies is a phrase we came up with some time last year. It’s our way of meaning “fresh to death” (and for those of you not understanding my slang talk…it means GROOVY BABY). My husband LOVES to wear bow ties and even wore one on our wedding day. It’s almost become an obession in our household.
With Tate, I figured he would follow in his daddy’s footsteps and be a bow tie wearer as well. I purchased the cutest baby bow tie from a shop on Etsy. If you haven’t heard of Etsy, you need to go check it out. It’s full of lots of handmade items and is one of my latest shopping addictions. The things I find on there are so unique.
Anywho, while on maternity leave, I did a mini photo shoot with my main man. Isn’t he adorable? And really small I might add. It’s amazing how much they grow in just a few short weeks. It’s makes me sad. 🙁
To all the Father’s out there, I want to wish you a Happy Father’s Day weekend. Enjoy the time with your loved ones!
